Chinese Language and Literature Program for International Students (International Business Chinese Translation)

Objective:

This program aims to cultivate professionals with high Chinese proficiency, certain knowledge of humanities, economy and trade and skillful translation competence for simultaneous interpretation of Chinese and foreign languages. The talent ability structure highlights of this program are "Chinese proficiency", "translation skills" and "economy and trade knowledge".

Graduation Requirements:

1. A High level of Chinese proficiency and fluency in the overall five aspects of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating.

2. Skillful translation skills and proficiency in Chinese shorthand and instant translation.

3. A basic knowledge of economy and trade and a clear understanding of China's society, culture, politics and economy.

4. Computer skills and proficiency in operating various office software.

5.Strong practical and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to complete cross-cultural economic exchanges well.

Program Features:

1. Combination between knowledge learning and practical learning

Knowledge learning:professional theories and skills in classroom, practical learning: classroom practice and extracurricular practice.

2. Professional tutors

Guidance will be provided for students' theoretical knowledge learning and thesis writing, etc., and to expand students' practical learning and enhance students' professional awareness and literacy.

The two-way selection method is adopted, which combines students' willingness and the tutors’ selection.The tutor arrangement will be determined after the agreement between the two sides and the approval of the college.

This program is only available to international students whose mother tongue is Russian or Korean;

To graduate, students must pass the new HSK 6 test or have a 3.0 GPA in core courses.
